What Is Inbound Marketing?

what is inbound marketing?

As the effectiveness of traditional and intrusive marketing techniques continues to dwindle, inbound marketing is on the rise. It's a huge buzzword in the marketing industry right now and - while buzzwords are often thrown around for a while before fading into nothing - inbound is definitely here to stay. Here at inbounderly, we love inbound. And we're on a mission to make the rest of the world love it just like we do.

What is inbound?

Put simply, inbound marketing is the process of attracting potential customers IN to your business through targeted content.

By creating content that your ideal customers actually want to see, you are drawing your customers in and guiding them through their buyer's journey. This is becoming increasingly more effective than traditional marketing techniques such as cold calls and advertising, which can be intrusive and turn your potential customers away.

What is the buyer's journey?

The buyer's journey is the journey a potential customer goes through leading up to a sale. The journey is made of the awareness stage, consideration stage and decision stage.

How do I do inbound?

There are a number of different ways you can do inbound, including blog posts, social media, case studies, ebooks and videos. Through using these techniques, your ideal customers will find you. That's much better than you targeting people who don't want to hear from you, right?
